Podlogs – Free Eve Online Blogs
Podlogs is a free blog hosting site powered by wordpressMU. It is a niche site aimed at players of the MMORPG Eve Online. Users can sign up for a free blog and choose from a range of original Eve Online themes I created especially. The site currently hosts over 600 peoples blogs and attracts up to 2000 visitors each day. The site has google adsense adverts on it to pay the hosting bills (and a small profit) and I shall soon be offering a premium subscription for £5 a month which will remove adverts and give access to exclusive themes and plugins.
DUST514.org
Dust514.org is a website for an upcoming xbox 360 and Playstation 3 game. I managed to register dust514.org the same day CCP announced that the game existed. Which was somewhat of a fluke. The main feature of the site is a news section which keeps people up to date with any new information on the title. I have also managed to get an interview with the CEO CCP and the lead game designer for DUST 514 which boosted traffic no end.
The site also features forums for people to discuss the game, a social networking component (similar to facebook) that allows people to recruit players to play with when the game is finally released, image galleries, video galleries and a downloads section.
Dust 514 currently gets around 1500-3000 visitors each day and is the top ranked site on google for the search term “dust 514″.
